Before that, Nellwyn was a bankruptcy attorney at Levene Neale Bender Rankin & Brill, Sheppard Mullin, and Baker & McKenzie. This legal background provides her with a deep understanding of the complexities and strategic imperatives within the corporate restructuring industry.

Nellwyn also served as an extern to the Honorable Leslie Tchaikovsky, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, Northern District of California, and has held significant leadership positions within influential organizations in the restructuring industry including the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Bankruptcy Committee of the Business Law Section, and the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).

Nellwyn is a graduate of Georgetown University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude. She received her Juris Doctor at the University of California, Berkeley.
